What are Circlips & Retaining Rings?

Accu has a large range of Circlips & Retaining Rings for multiple applications. External Circlips, also known as C-Clips or Seeger Rings are mainly used as retaining components. The clip is installed onto a shaft to prevent lateral movement of the parts or the shaft. When connected to a shaft, an External Circlip can also be inserted into a cut or groove to create a lightweight and compact fastening. Often used with bearings, and can be used as retaining rings for Gears. 

Internal Circlips are fitted to the inside of a shaft or bore and they are used to retain a round object within a round hole. They are ideal for securing pins, or holding a Bearing within a housing. The range also includes E Clips which are fitted to shafts, creating a retaining shoulder within a pre-cut groove. E-Clips are often found within printing equipment and vehicles. Accu also has a range of retaining rings such as Lipped Retaining Rings for use with axles with pre-manufactured grooves.
