Sentinel Countersunk Pozi Security Wood Screws are a type of tamper resistant screw designed to provide a 1-way security solution. Fastening these Security Screws only requires a standard Pozidriv Screwdriver, or a Pozi Drive Bit, meaning a quick and easy installation process.
This screw will only operate (fasten) in a clockwise direction, meaning that the drive of the fixing is a unique permanent pozidrive. This is because the Sentinel drive of the screw is chamfered on the rear face, preventing engagement with the screwdriver when attempting to remove the screw by turning it anti-clockwise.
The Countersunk head of this Pozi Security Wood Screw is designed to sit flush with the surface of the wooden assembly, whilst the coarse thread of the screw is specially designed to cut into wood and tap its own thread.
For an alternative 1-way security wood screw which can be installed using a Slotted (Flat Head) Screwdriver, Accu also offers Clutch Head Security Countersunk Wood Screws.
Materials
This range of Sentinel Security Wood Screws are manufactured from Case Hardened Steel with a Zinc Plated finish (Cr3).
