About the Accu Scholarship

The Accu Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for UK-based engineering students to gain financial support, mentorship, and industry access. Since its inception in April 2023, the program has been designed to kickstart the careers of the next generation of innovators.

In 2026, we are proud to announce the next phase of this mission. By partnering with Zero Gravity, we are doubling our financial support and reaching students earlier in their journey to ensure that the brightest minds have the resources they need to become the problem solvers of the future.

As part of Accu’s mission to empower innovation and progress, our £3,000 scholarship provides aspiring engineers with the resources they need to take their education - and future careers - to the next level.

The Evolution: Why We’ve Changed The Accu Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

To ensure the fund reaches those who can benefit most, applicants must meet the following:

• Status: Students must be currently applying for or awaiting enrollment in a full-time undergraduate engineering degree.

• Subject: Pursuing a relevant engineering discipline (see our full list of supported degrees on the application page on the Zero Gravity platform).

• Location: Must be UK-based and paying domestic tuition fees.

• Background: We prioritise high-achieving students from low-opportunity or under-represented backgrounds, but welcome all talented and deserving young engineers to apply.

How to Apply for the Accu Scholarship

The latest round of applications for the Accu Scholarship open from 1st June 2026. We will be selecting 2 Accu Scholars during this time, meaning we will award two £3,000 scholarships to students starting university in September 2026.

To apply, students will need to have signed up to the Zero Gravity platform and match the eligibility criteria.

Students matching the eligibility criteria will be invited to apply for the Accu scholarship, with applications being accepted until 1st July, before shortlisted students are invited to final interviews.

Final interviews will be conducted with Accu (by invitation to a video appointment) following this, with the winners selected by the end of August 2026.

The Accu Scholarship Awards and Benefits

Accu Scholarship winners will receive:

• • £3,000 Financial Grant: Paid in £1,000 installments over three academic years to assist with education-related expenses including tuition, accommodation, equipment or travel.

  • £100 Accu.co.uk Gift Balance: To purchase any of our 500,000+ precision components for your academic or personal projects.

  • Career Development: Access to potential paid internship opportunities and exposure to Industry 5.0 technology solutions.

Who is eligible to apply for the Accu Scholarship?

UK-based students currently applying for or awaiting enrollment to a full-time undergraduate engineering degree and paying domestic tuition fees are eligible to apply.

How much is the scholarship worth?

The Accu Scholarship award is £3,000, along with additional benefits such as a £100 Accu.co.uk gift balance and potential internship & industry networking opportunities.

How do I apply for the new Accu Scholarship fund?

Applications open in June 2026. All submissions must be made through the Zero Gravity platform. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on academic potential and socio-economic background.

Why is the scholarship fund now awarded over 3 years?

We want to support you throughout your entire degree, not just at the start. By providing £1,000 per year, we help reduce the ongoing impact of financial burdens throughout your studies.

Is the undergraduate scholarship ("Building Tomorrow’s Visionaries") still available?

This branch of the Accu Scholarship programme is the one we’ve evolved and simplified the name too - it’s now just called the “Accu Scholarship”. In previous years, this was aimed at supporting current undergraduates, but from June 2026 onwards the Accu Scholarship will support prospective undergraduate engineers, right from the start of their degrees.

Is the postgraduate scholarship ("Building Tomorrow’s Leaders") still available?

This specific branch of the Accu Scholarship programme is currently unavailable as we focus our resources on early-career undergraduate pathways.

Can I apply if I am already in my first, second or third year of university?

The 2026 fund is specifically for prospective students entering university. However, we encourage all students to follow Accu on social media for future opportunities and society sponsorship news.

What happened to the Blackbullion partnership?

Blackbullion supported the first three years of our scholarship (2023-2025). We are incredibly proud of the impact made during that time, reaching nearly 1,000 students and establishing the scholarship as a premier engineering grant in the UK.
