Button Head Solid Rivets are designed to securely fasten two or more parallel sheets of metal. A Solid Rivet is inserted into a pre-drilled hole, with the tail-end deforming to lock in place and create a permanent, durable fastening between the two surfaces.

This type of Rivet is primarily intended to provide a reliable fastening against strong shear stresses (forces perpendicular to the rivet shaft). However, the Button Head design of these components does also make them suitable for fastening in the presence of light tensioning loads (parallel to the shaft of the rivet).

Sizes

Button Head Solid Rivets are manufactured according to DIN 660 and are available in a variety of sizes, with diameters ranging between 2mm and 6mm, and lengths ranging from 6mm up to 50mm.
