AFNOR Serrated Conical Washers are designed to act as cone-shaped springs, and feature multiple radial grooves for enhanced resistance to rotation. The conical shape of these components provides a degree of elasticity, which makes these components suitable for pre-loading Precision Screws. The serrated pattern of this washer also provides a larger degree of grip after installation, making AFNOR Serrated Conical Washers resistant to vibration and loosening.

Accu's range of AFNOR Serrated Conical Washers are compliant with both the AFNOR specification and the manufacturing standard NFE 25514.

The AFNOR and NFE standards are French systems of standardisation which have largely been superseded by newer DIN and ISO standards, but are still popular in specialist applications and legacy projects.
